December 12, 2007 - CEO Tom Schauer hosted the ACUIA Webinar 2007: Credit Union Vendor Management and Other Compliance. The objectives of the webinar were to understand the risks associated with relying upon vendors, understand best practices for selecting, contracting and managing vendors, and improve your compliance by helping you better understand what examiners are looking for. December 1, 2007 - Alison Towne officially joins the TrustCC team as an IT Auditor and Technical Writer. Alison spent the last two months interning with the TrustCC team, learning the ins and outs of IT auditing and technical writing for a consulting firm. Alison comes to TrustCC from George Fox University of Portland, Oregon, with a degree in Computer & Information Science. Alison will be sitting for the Security+ certification in the very near future and will be seeking IT audit certifications during the next twelve months. TrustCC is deeply committed to nurturing and hiring the best young talent. November 15, 2007 - Paul Webb joins the TrustCC team as the Vice President of Business Development. Paul has over 10 years of experience in IT security and audit and has specific expertise helping financial institutions, healthcare entities and those with PCI compliance obligations get the services they need to address security and compliance. Paul will be responsible for expanding TrustCC’s business into new markets and implementing account management practices that ensure client success. November 14, 2007 - CEO Tom Schauer trained NCUA Region 5 IS&T Examiners in Phoenix, Arizona. Topics included Business Continuity Planning, Incident Response Planning, BIA and IT Security for Small and Medium Credit Unions. October 1, 2007 - TrustCC entered into an agreement with NorthBay Associates, a business development consulting firm, to represent TrustCC services throughout the United States. October 2007 - CEO Tom Schauer provided NASCUS training in Savannah, Georgia and LACUES training in New Orleans, Louisiana. Summer 2007 - CEO Tom Schauer provided training at conferences hosted by the IIA, AICPA and ACUIA.

The seminar provided useful presentations and information relevant to emerging security and audit issues. Presentation were by TrustCC, IT-Lifeline and Internet Identity.

TrustCC's Brian Morkert and Josh Landers demonstrated some of the latest penetration testing tools and tactics including automated vulnerability scanners, manual techniques, and exploitation frameworks.
CEO Tom Schauer co-lead a workshop on financial management titled "There’s Safety (and Integrity) in Numbers". Special focus was on knowledge capital, internal controls and SAS 112, internal audit function (small through XXL organization), and information security-best practices and challenges.
